#ThinkLanguages Day 5 proved to be another wonderful day of fun, learning and discovery for St Brigid’s College. 35 students together with 5 language teachers took part in language workshops in French, German, Italian and Spanish on the campus of University of Galway. Our French students sang and danced their way through a highly engaging and entertaining workshop on French music followed by a very interesting presentation on French children’s literature. Congratulations to Tayna Schmidt on leading her team of Anna, Emily and Caoilinn to victory in the follow-up quiz. Our German students thoroughly enjoyed their theatre games in the target language while our Spanish students developed their creative skills by making their own book in Spanish with wonderful ideas on animation. And not least our beginner Italian students who learned how and why hand gestures play an important part in the Italian language in their ‘hands-on’ workshop. All this together with lunch, a tour of the campus and a very special guided visit by Colin Lawton of the Zoology Museum made for a great day. Many thanks to Francesca Nicora for organising the day and to Sylvie Mossay, Coralline Dupuis (French), Antonia Musolff, Natalie Nevin, Julia Weiss (German), Pilar Alderete-Diez, Raquel Rodriguez-Fernandez (Spanish), Sveva Zafferri, Frederica Curreli (Italian).
